Care & Maintenance
With proper care and maintenance our high-quality stone and porcelain benchtops can last a lifetime, remaining as beautiful and durable as the day they were installed by us.
Everyday / General Cleaning
For everyday cleaning, wipe the surface with a soft damp cloth and a mild detergent. To remove grease or stubborn marks, use a non-abrasive cleaner such as Spray & Wipe, then finish by wiping with a clean cloth. Promptly clean up any food or liquid spills to help prevent staining.
Substances such as food colouring, fruit juice, coffee, tea, soft drinks, wine, fresh fruit, paint, and permanent marker should be removed as soon as possible using a multi-purpose cleaner, followed by a rinse with clean water.
Dried food, chewing gum, nail polish, or paint can be carefully removed using a sharp scraper or blade. Any remaining residue can then be cleaned away with a non-scratch scouring pad before washing and rinsing thoroughly with water.
Avoid using harsh or non-pH-neutral chemicals, including bleach, caustic soda, drain cleaners, oven cleaners, paint strippers, or petroleum-based products, as these may damage the surface.
Heat & Impact Protection
Always use a heat mat or protective board beneath hot cookware, including pots, electric frying pans, slow cookers, and benchtop ovens. Sudden or extreme temperature changes can cause permanent damage to your stone benchtop.
While stone surfaces are highly durable and impact-resistant, heavy knocks from pots, pans, bottles, or other hard objects may chip or damage the edges. If chipping occurs, contact your kitchen manufacturer or stone fabricator for advice on repair options.
To avoid unnecessary stress on the surface, do not stand, sit, or walk on your benchtop, as excessive weight or pressure may result in cracking or structural damage.
